An extensive network of hiking trails "Waalwege" has been established around the market town of Naturns, which lies between the Venosta Valley and the "Burggrafenamt".

One of the most beautiful is the Tscharser Waalweg which runs from Tschars, along the course of the Schnalswaal to the castle Juval. Return via Stabener Waalweg.

The approximately 5 km long Algund Waalweg runs almost exactly flat. It offers a magnificent view of the Meraner Land.

There is also a hike on the approximately equally long Partschinser Waalweg. The artificial waters accompanied by him were already laid out in the 15th century and still water Partschins' apple orchards today.

Nearly all of the South Tyrolean trails along waterways ("Waal") are well accessible both in summer and in winter. There are also numerous hotels in the vicinity, so that their accessibility is nearly always given.

This also applies to other trails such as Marlinger Waalweg. It accompanies the longest historic Waal with 12 km length and leads past the Adige vineyards and Schloss Lebenberg from Töll to Marling.
